R. K. Hageman

Rhonda K. Hageman is a local ESL instructor, spinner, weaver, and writer. She is working on a series of academic murder-mystery novels set in a mythical college town in the mountains of central Colorado, where the amateur sleuth/protagonist is the newest professor in the history department. She has participated in NaNoWriMo events four times and won once. Her interests include linguistics, prehistoric textiles, classical mythology, Egyptology, 18th-century naval history, chess, and the manned space programs Mercury/Gemini/Apollo. In addition, she has written two articles for The Ostracon, the journal of the Egyptian Study Society (www.egyptstudy.org) based in Denver. In the past, she has also written media-based fan fiction for Star Trek, The Rat Patrol, and Alias Smith and Jones. She is wildly enthusiastic about board and table games of any kind, particularly Scrabble, and believes that "too many cats" is an oxymoron.
